Statomotive is operated by Anwar Martin ("Statomotive", "we", "us"). These terms cover your use of statomotive.com and of a Statomotive account or premium membership. By using the site you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

What Statomotive is

Statomotive publishes statistical analysis of the enthusiast and collector car market, built from completed auction results. Valuations, price drivers, deal rankings, fair values and every other figure on the site are model estimates, published with their sample sizes and confidence levels because estimates carry uncertainty.

What Statomotive is not

Nothing on this site is an appraisal, an inspection, an offer to buy or sell, financial or investment advice, or a guarantee of what any car will sell for. No dataset captures the condition or history of an individual car. Inspect the car, verify its documents, and make your own decision before you buy or sell.

Accounts

A free account needs only an email address. Your account is personal: do not share your sign-in links or let others use your account, and do not try to get around access controls. You must be 18 or older. You can delete your account at any time from your account page.

Premium membership, price and renewal

Premium opens every guide in full. It is sold as a monthly or a yearly subscription at the price shown on the account page when you subscribe, plus any tax that applies. Payment is taken by Stripe when you subscribe.

Your membership renews automatically at the end of each month or year and the same card is charged the same price, until you cancel. If we ever change the price, we will email you at least 30 days before the change applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

Cancelling and refunds

Cancel anytime: on your account page choose "Manage premium account", which opens Stripe's billing portal, and cancel there. You keep premium until the end of the month or year you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.

Payments are not refunded for the unused part of a month or year, except where the law requires it. If something went wrong with a charge, email info@statomotive.com and we will look at it.

Deleting your account cancels a membership immediately, without a refund for the time left. To keep using premium until it runs out, cancel first and delete later. Your billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires.

Using the data

Access is for your own, non-commercial use. You may not scrape, harvest, bulk-download, or republish the site's data or analysis; use it to train machine learning models; frame or mirror the site; or resell access to it. For commercial use of Statomotive data (dealer tools, lending, insurance, research), contact info@statomotive.com about licensing.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close a paid account for a reason other than a breach, we refund the unused part of the period.

Intellectual property

The Statomotive name, site design, models and analysis belong to Statomotive. Auction results are public facts; the cleaning, structuring and modeling of them into what appears here is ours.

No warranty, limited liability

The site and its data are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Statomotive is not liable for losses from using the site, including decisions to buy or sell a car made with its data, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Transfer to a company

We may transfer these terms, your account and your membership to a company that takes over running Statomotive, such as one we form for it. Your membership, its price and these terms carry over unchanged, and we will email members when it happens.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. The current version is always at this address with its date. We will email members about a change that affects their membership before it takes effect. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
